From Preikestolen to Bygland
July 14, 2008
Usually we wanted to cruise the Lysefjord from Forsand to Lysebotn because we liked to hike Mount Kjerag. Some days ago in Stavanger we booked the ferry already but we had to cancel it. The weather was too worse. It rained without a break and to make it worse I catched a cold the day before. I felt like a piece of sh... and wouldn't be able to climb up to the top anyway. Before we planned the hike I checked the internet for informations and mostly everybody said: Don't hike when it's wet since the rocks are too slippery. After our experience with Buddy the day before we didn't wanna take the risk to lose him this time or one of us got hurt. It was a hard decision but finally our intellect won ;)
Instead we decided to drive as far north-east as we could in the hope the weather will be better next day and we'll have the chance to hike somewhere at Haukelifjell.
At the evening we entered a small campground in Bygland located at a beautiful lake. There were only some guests and after checking in and having a look at the sanitary facilities we knew why - rolleyes. Anyway, it was just for one night and the sunset over the lake outweigh everything.
