Stop! No entrance! Go away! ;-)
Second day in Berlin. I woke up at 7am, although I hadn't slept very well this night... it was so hot inside the room, so I opened the window...but then it was too loud from traffic noise...

After breakfast I went to Checkpoint Charlie, which is in walking distance from Hotel Relexa.
Checkpoint Charlie used to be the border crossing from West- to East-Germany in the old days. The small house which used to be the office of the border patrol is still there. There's also a museum nearby. From there, I went to the Brandenburger Tor again, because I wanted to take some pictures with better light situation.
After taking pictures it was about time to get to Alexanderplatz, because I was supposed to meet with a TravBuddy there.

The TB mini-meetup was more like a walk around- and coffee-meetup.
Don't know what this is, but it looked cool :-P

Didn't have so much time anyway, because I had booked a guided Segway tour for 3 pm, which started at Opel Communication Center near tram station Friedrichstraße.

The Segway tour was so much fun!
After 30 minutes of instruction, the tour group - 2 tour guides, 8 Segway newbies - headed downtown to check out all the important sights.
The tour took 2 hours, and I think we made about 10km.
Believe me, even in such a big city full of historic sites, you'll be the center of attention, when your group of 10 Segways passes.
All the tourists turning their heads, taking pictures of the Segways and many are like "Hey, that's that thing from the Mall Cop movie!"
Really cool, big fun and highly recommended! And you get to see ALL the important Berlin sights without any walking!

After the tour I went to a Couchsurfer Meetup in Berlin-Friedrichshain, from which I happened to hear the day before.
Segway driving is sooo cool!

I've been a Couchsurfing member since April or so, but never been very active.
The meetup took place in Luna's Strandgarten... pretty cool place, looks somehow like a beach club, with sandy beach and a bar...
There's a BBQ pit, so you can bring your own stuff to grill on.
I have to say, those Couchsurfers are great people! About 50-60 people from many different countries showed up, very open-minded, fun and interesting people!
Stayed there the whole evening... after sunset it got pretty cold, so about 11pm I left the place with some CS'ers.

As I planned to go to Potsdam to see the Castle Sanssouci, I didn't join the others, who wanted to go clubbing, and headed to the city to get back to the hotel.

Another long exhausting but great day in Berlin...
