Took a quick road trip out to the Pacific Northwest states of Idaho, Oregon and Washington. Stopped at a few parks including Crater Lake, Mount St Helens, and Mount Rainier with lots of geology stops.

Grand Coulee Dam

I decided to stop here because it wasn't much out of my way.  The Grand Coulee Dam is impressive, and there is a really nice museum there, but I guess compared to the Hoover Dam, its a little small.

It's shorter than Hoover, but much larger in terms of mass. They couldn't make it too tall, because they didn't want the water backing up into Canada!
