Arriving in Utrecht

We left Eindhoven when Marc texted me, that he’s on his way to the Jaarbeursplein Central Station. Unfortunately he had to wait a lot for me, coz there was a huge traffic jam on the motorway, so I arrived in Utrecht an hour later. When I got off the bus I couldn’t seen him anywhere, so I sent him a msg that i’m waiting for him at the escalators. 3 mins later he showed up, we hugged each other, he grabbed my bag (so he looked like a TOURIST, too) and we were on our way to a bar, where I got my welcome beer and bitterballen (they were so hot that i burnt my mouth with them, but they are definitely tasty).
Oh, Crazy Joe Devola (the coolest rubber duckie in the world) came with Marc to greet me:)
We were talking in the pub for an hour or so then we headed to Marc’s place. When we arrived, Marc showed me around in his apartment and my first thing was to unpack the beers and we filled up the refrigerator with them (there were already a lot of Dutch beer in it, too). It was time for another beer, i got a lemon flavored Dutch beer and Marc tried my fave Hungarian beer, called Soproni. Then I took a shower. Then Marc took a shower and when he came back he suspected me of battering his showerhead. But I haven’t done anything to it, I SWEAR!!!
I was really tired and Marc got very sleepy from the Soproni, so we decided to take a nap. When I woke up about 1,5 hours later Marc was already awake and we headed to the city center to check out one of the rock bars. The bar’s called Stairway to Heaven, and it’s really cool, there are guitars from famous bands on the walls. There was a nice black one where we were sitting signed by AC/DC. Marc told me I can not take it home with me. I got sad.
Then we went to another pub where we met up with two of Marc’s friends. I got here a booze called cockroach, it was fun, coz it was burning and I had to drink it before the straw melts.
One of Marc’s friends went home; Marc, Sweder and me went to check out club Trivoli. We had fun there till closing time (4a.m). Marc wanted to get a taxi to get home, but I convinced him to walk home. We made it in 50 mins. I enjoyed the walk in that very early morning, but I guess Marc got a little tired. So thank you Marc :)
