So on Friday night we invited a bunch of our students to go out for a few drinks to celebrate their graduation from the B2 level of English. About 30 of them showed up and we had a good time hanging out and a few of them bought me drinks which is always nice. On Saturday I did some paperwork for the INA, had my class and headed out to Playa Hermosa for another celebration of the completion of B2.
The only bad part was that after getting home late on Saturday night, I didn't get much sleep before I had to be up at 7:30 to go to one of Audrey's student's dairy farm in Quebrada Grande, about an hour away. It was Noemy's class, which includes some of my favorite people. Once there, we road horses across the farm, saw a baby cow being born, hung out at a river, ate lots of yummy food, learned a lot of "tiquismos" (Tico slang, including Culilandia (Podunk), pellizgada (witty), and chepa (gossiper), and had a really good time.
Up and coming events include the Guanacaste Gringos' Trip to Limón, an excursion to Panama, a legal Spanish course in Nicoya, an adventure to las Islas de Ometepe en Nicaragua, and one of my best friends, Adena, coming to visit! It'll be rough, but I guess I'll try to survive the next few months... ;)
