Gio and Mario striking a pose ;)
So after a couple of weeks in Vassouras all i seem to have done is go to the hospital during the day and drink and dance all night long!! Well you all know the saying "if you drink more than your doctor you're an alcoholic" - think i am definitely putting it to the test!!

Its only a small city - about 30,000 people but SO many students and of course its "freshers week" so there seems to be a different party/bbq to go to every night! Not that i am complaining, the people here have been amazing, everyone is so friendly and so willing to help you if you need anything - have had to improve on my portuguese as most people do not speak english but so far havent had too many problems being understood or understanding!!

Hospital life is pretty good - have seen loads of things i haven't had the chance to before - especially the tropical diseases and trauma.

Went to Petropolis with Alejandro (another exchange student here from spain) for a day and bought some outrageously cheap clothes as its kind of an "outlet" area - loved it - and of course saw the sights of Petropolis which is very pretty and has some beautiful old colonial style houses - and the cathedral is quite awe-inspiring i must say!! Definitely worth a day or two but probably not much more!
