On the Sunday we did a full day drive in the truck with Alan to get to our stay at a property in Los Llanos. We played poker on the bus and again that night at the property.

The next morning we had breakfast at the truck and then went off for a morning safari. We went pirahna fishing where I caught a middle sized pirahna. There were heaps of bites in the small creek and most people in the group caught at least one. Dave went annaconda hunting with one of the local guides and got bitten on the leg by a pirahna as he walked through the creek. The bite was perfectly round and perilously close to being a full chunk of flesh ripped out. When he came back with a huge anaconda he had to walk back through the creek with a gumboot to stop the blood attracting more pirahnas.

In the afternoon we went on a boat ride down a nearby river with Alan as our enthusiastic guide. We saw enormous amounts of various wildlife, including dolphins and mating anacondas. That night we hit the rum back at the property, and there was a strange girl we didn't know who was dancing crazily and knocking over chairs and bottles.

The next day we left the Los Llanos property and did a full day drive until the sun was coming down. We pulled into a random property on the side of the road where the ground was desolate and hard. This was our first camp so we learned how to set the tents up and then went about doing it ourselves. The owner of the property rocked up as we were cooking dinner but was very enthusiastic about the novelty of having a big yellow truck with 20 tourists on his land.
