Cuzco - Day 3 - Inca trail finished so time to celebrate!

After using up the morning on the usual pesky travel errands like burning photo cds, and making sure that I had some clean clothes ;) I met up with the GAP crew for some lunch. We thought we had found a nice little restaurant called Blueberry Lounge with good people-watching views, but then of course with so many gringos in the one place a band quickly formed in the corner and started belted out the tunes. They were actually quite good quality musicians, but we didn't really want to be drowned out by Beatle covers at that point. I mistakenly politely applauded them early, but soon learnt that this just led to more...
We all managed to meet up later for dinner too, to celebrate Shane and Emer ummm completing the Inca trail, yes that's it, nothing more than completing the Inca trail ;) (Note: Shane proposed at Macchu Picchu I just couldn't reveal it publicly at the time) The restaurant we picked was a bit touristy, with music and dancing breaking out half way through dinner but it was entertaining anyway.
With an Irish pub only metres away, it was inevitable that we filtered out of the restaurant in to the pub to keep the festivites going. I think a good night was had by all here as we crowded round a fire in our rocking chairs (that doesn't seem all that lively, but trust it was a good setting after days of hiking :) )
This might be a handy blog entry for Dave who earlier in the day had purchased a flute and panpipes and then proceeded to completely forget the day's events. We're not sure if the two are related, but it seems pretty dodgy, one to be wary of :)
