We started by the cheese factory, but it was actually impossible to visit, only tasting was organised in the shop, so we went then to an Olives factory: Pukara Estate (between Muswellbrook and Denman). Once again, no visit were organised so we finally ordered food to try. It was awesome, so tasty!
While walking around the olive trees, we saw beautiful parrots. There are loads of parrots in the bush (even in Sydney), but these ones were the most colourful ever so far!!
Then, we chose to attend a Race Horsing. It was the first time ever for us. It was 10$ fee to enter.
The atmosphere here astonished us. We were having a Sunday in the middle of the countryside.
We watched a race and then decided to bet. I bet 6$ on the 7 to win, and my friend 5$ on the 2 to win. The race was very different that time when we had money in! And both of our horses arrived first, it was a dead hit! Stroke of luck for beginners!
After, as it is impossible to miss it when being in the Hunter Valley, we went to a Vineyard. Here again, no visit were allowed so we only took walked in the vines, enjoying the great scenery all around. It was really good to be in the countryside, very different.
We regretted a bit not to be able to visit places we chose to go to. It is great to taste and try, but we would have been interested in knowing the process of fabrication... Anyway, it was still great visits across a magnificent area!
Now, let's go back to the coast!
