Frankfurt- 法兰克福 / Wiesbaden-威斯巴登
Whenever i told my friend i want to go to EU for 2 weeks .. they were delighted but when i told them i'm going there by MYSELF- travelling SOLO. They were looking at me and said: " Are u nuts"?? " Are u crazy!!!??" Honestly those comments did affect my decision , makes me ponder and it took long time for me to make the decision, i can't even find any close friend of mine who have long holidays and also same interest with me going somewhere so far away from home. And one of my friend who suppose to meet me in Frankfurt but things turn out pretty disappointed because he didnt make it and i have see NO REASON for him not to make it (he kept silent until i was in BERLIN but everything were TOO LATE!!!).
So my Eastern Europe trip planning wasn't going smooth in the begining, because all those reason and the worst thing is i had already booked my air ticket before my friend said NO to me. So the date and flight all fixed. I was thinking to change it but i thought why not give it a try and i do believe everything happens for a reason, perhaps the trip turn out to be great holidays, who knows? So i am kinda start to gather some information for the holidays for this 2 weeks holidays.WHY landed Frankfurt? Well it's because air ticket still reasonable and not so expensive and it's easy to connect to EU.
i took night flight from Singapore to Frankfurt on 6/Aug.During my journey from SIN-Frankfurt, the guy who sit next to me, he was on his way back to Sweden to seeing his first new born baby.
It's took about 10 and half hour landed in Bangkok.. waiting for another 2 hours then heading to Frankfurt.
Again there's a German couples sit next to me they are just back from their honeymoon 3 weeks in Malaysia/Indonesia. They are very friendly adn helpful and give me some hightlight and advise where should i visit in Frankfurt, they told me about Mainz, but i think end up i went to Wiesbaden..hehe!!!
Alright by the time i landed safely Frankfurt it's about 6am.. i never expect the Frankfurt airport was kinda huge and kinda mess to me ( i mean complicated) i was kinda lost coz i dont know which is the correct direction i shall go in order to get to the hostel.
Later there's guy help me find out the exact location.. it's just 3 stop away from the Frankfurt airport, so i took a train heading to Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof.WHen i reached the hostel it's till too early to check in , so i put my luggage in the store room and decided to take a walk then back at 2pm. There's a Spanish guy whos also from the hostel was asking me why not i join him for a walk since he's also travel solo. Why not it's always good to have someone travel together rather than to be alone. So we went to to Frankfurt city for half day city tour.. in the evening we went to the little town which only takes about 35min by trian from Frankfurt called Wiesbaden. It was nice town which you can explore within a day.
By the time we got back to the hostel it's about 10 o'clock.. i was pretty tired but suprisingly i have not had any jetlag yet which is little bit abnormal for me...hahah i dont even feel hungry at all.. i think i'm sorf of crazy... but overall first day in Frankfurt isn't that bad as i thought, i shall have to thanks for Rafel who give me a good tourguide. Hopefully can see him somewhere agian;p
