Most of the times we travel, we travel for ourselves, isn't it true? Yes, I do and I know you too. But, have you ever travelled for the other people?
The weekend that just passed (22-23 August 09) was very special trip for me. It was once again in my life that I travelled for the others. That's right, I mean it "To travel for other people." I went on a work camp to a poor school in Kanchanaburi, a province in the west of Thailand. The poor little kids in very far and isolated area of my country, they are hidden in the embrace of moutains and nature. And we were there to help them by doing the donation, playing with them, doing maintenance of school building and cooking them meals.
The tripwas a kind of work camp run by a kind hearted group of people gathering together to do good things for the needy people.
Most of group members didn't really know each other before and came from different places. But everyone do have the same thing in common. We have the same heart to give love and to share to people with very few opportunity in life, especially the kids.
If you feel bad about yourself that you are inferior in this society and don't really have much, you should feel ashame of yourself. Why? Because there are so many people in this country and around the world who don't really have anything even a house, cloth, or food to eat. To compare, we have much and more than enough while many people don't.
Isn't it nice to open our heart to see and find opportunity to do good things to share to the poor ones? It can be a very tiring journey to go for such a trip I did but, in the end, you will realize how happiness deeply grows in your heart as never felt before.
Why don't you start to travel such a good trip sometimes in life? That's what I call "Travel for the Others".
Thanks for coming and reading my blog! I hope, at least, it can give you something good in mind.
