On long weekends while working in Tennesse, I went rock climbing, hiking, skydiving, caving, hit the beach, took scenic drives (and more!) in the surrounding states.

Flowering trees
Twice a year for work, I head to Kingsport, Tennessee.  I love this area.  We take a long weekend in which I have time to travel around and explore the area.  The following pages are pictures from various weekends over the last couple of years.  This page is a collection of photos from Kingsport.  Bays Mountain overlooks the town and has a park that I have yet to visit.  As it is in the mountains in eastern Tennessee, there are lots of hills and rocks to enjoy.  In the spring, flowering trees dot the hill sides and turkeys are in full display looking for mates.   My favorite road to drive is I-26 between I-81 and Kingsport.  It goes right through the mountains with a wonderful set of anticlines and synclines (folds).

Very cool. I have sort-of family members that live here. What kind of work do you do?
