Cesar's Head State Park

On long weekends while working in Tennesse, I went rock climbing, hiking, skydiving, caving, hit the beach, took scenic drives (and more!) in the surrounding states.

Cesar's Head State Park

I stopped at Cesar's Head State Park in northern South Carolina.  The first stop was to look at Cesar's Head, and with some imagination, you can see it, complete with a crown of leaves on his head.  I squeezed through Devil's Kitchen and tried climbing the walls for a picture, but didn't quite make it.  I took a 4.4 mile round trip hike down to Raven Cliff Falls.  This area has many waterfalls, and apparently many ravens nest in the area.  The trail was awesome - lots of different terrain and vegetation.  It was very peaceful.  I only met a few people along the trail.  I drove to Table Top State Park, but it was near park closing time and I didn't have time to hike out to the rock, so instead I enjoyed an ice cream cone!
