Fairbanks - more relaxing

We slept in until nearly nine thirty this morning. There wasn't any reason to get up early. We had decided to spend most of the day here in our room repacking and getting ourselves ready for the early flight home in the morning. We had purchased breakfast and snack food to eat so that we wouldn't have to pay the high prices that Princess charges, and we knew we'd be way too late getting up for breakfast. So today is just writing, reading, and repacking day. The sun is out and the weather is cool and beautiful. Temperature today is supposed to get up to the mid fifties.
In the late afternoon I set up my camera in the window and watched as the sun slowly set. I has hoping for the same kind of sunset I had seen from the train when we pulled into Fairbanks, but alas the clouds and sky were different today. Yes, I had done some color changes (bringing out the colors that were already there) to make a couple of them more outstanding.
Our flight out in the morning is quite early, so we plan on going to bed very early, getting up at midnight to go outside for an hour or two in continued hopes of seeing the Aurora Borealis even though the on-line forecast is a zero and then back to bed for a couple of hours before getting up to check out.
