We woke up late today, to the dismay of our not so friendly hosts. They were more than upset at us for checking out late, but that is understandable. They did let us leave our packs inside the house while we explored the town, however, which was nice.
For lunch we went to Buffet Fife. A very crowded restaurant filled with tourists and locals. The restaurant is a little hard to find because it is hidden behind some bushes. Fife has a large menu of cheap, home cooked style meals, and everyone shares large picnic style tables and benches, which gives the restaurant an intimate setting. The price is around 20kn for the small portions, which is definitely enough food, and 10kn for salads. The food was excellent, the best in Croatia that i found.
Walked around old town for awhile before we took the bus to Zagreb. The bus took 5 hours and was 180kn. We booked the hostel before hand online, it was called Carpe Diem Hostel. The price was 125kn per night for a dorm room. The taxi from the train station to the hostel was 100kn. The hostel was decent and the staff very friendly and helpful. The staff made phone calls for us, gave us loads of super helpful information, and even changed for us leftover Serbian money.
Dinner was at Bistro "Capuciner". Huge selection of pasta, pizza, and meat dishes. Their specialty was turkey, they prepared turkey pretty much every way possible here. Waiters were very entertaining here, always cracking jokes. After dinner we stopped in for drinks at Bulldog. We had some tasty Croatian wine and called it a night.
