Travel Day, Back to Rio
Brett and i took a bus back to Rio de Janeiro. The other 2 checked out another beach town that was recommended by Filip. This time we stayed in Ipanema at Ipanema Beach House. The price was 45 reals/night, which was not as nice as stone of a beach in almost every aspect. The internet at the hostel was very expensive. Again, had difficulty getting hot showers. They had the bunk beds stacked 3 high. Also, the hostel did not have air condition, so the windows had to be left opened, which created a mosquito nightmare.
The hostel recommended Charrata Carretao. This is one of those Brazillian all you can eat meat places. The waiters keep coming to your table and placing different kinds of meats on your plate. Very nice, only 36 reals.
After dinner, Brett and i went to the bar across from Emporio, called Espelunca Chic. This street was just 3 blocks from the hostel. A group of 4 girls sat next to us, so Brett and i sent over some champaign. The price was only 50 reals per bottle. Only one of them spoke english, so she had to play translater. After a few drinks we parted ways.
