Walked to Paraga Beach. The beach was absolutely packed. The beach beds were very expensive at 6 euro each. Waiters constantly roamed the beaches to bring drinks and food if desired. We ordered a fruit salad, which fricking costs 9 euro. Supposedly, Paraga is the most beautiful beach on the island, and i would have to agree.
After the beach we got a ride into town to rent a scooter from a company called Hercules. Apparently, most places require an international drivers license, which i dont have. But i do have a motorcyle license, which helped a little i guess. Well, these scooters were crap. The first one that was given to me kept stalling out every time i came to a stop. Then the next one didnt have any breaks.
For dinner we ate at Blue Ginger, a thai/chinese fusion restaurant. It kind of happened by accident, but we got the best view of the sunset i have ever seen at a restaurant. Plus the food was really good. I had the braised beef dish for 15 euro and rice 2.50 exta. We also had the house wine for 12 euro, which ended up being pretty good as well.
After dinner we walked around Mykonos town. Had some ice cream from Kayak, which claimed to have "quality ice cream." It was the old style ice cream, with the ice in it and stuff, and i dont know if i like that. I like the new style better, like Ben and Jerrys, now they have quality ice cream. Ok, enough about ice cream, lets talk about drinking.
We went to Parmigiano for wine. They have 5 euro carafes of good wine. After a few carafes, we headed over to the area called little venice. There are about 5 small bars all together that make up little venice. We hung out at Sunset cafe. There were beautiful people and cool music.
