My first trip to South America. I have 5 weeks with no set plans. So i will see where the road takes me. After South America, I will be heading to Europe for 2 months to some familiar and some very unfamiliar places. I apologize in advance if this is difficult to read, grammar was never my best subject. Cheers.

Last Day in Rio

Ipanema Beach

Cool and rainy day kept me from enjoying one final beach day in Rio.  That is ok, because in a few days i will be in the Greek isles.

Took a bus to the airport from a street close to the hostel.  This was actually kind of difficult, because the buses came at you pretty fast, and if you didnt wave them down, the bus would pass you by.  Since the buses only came every 30 minutes for the airport, it was pretty important to catch the bus.  I finally found one, and of course it didnt stop.  I had to run down the street with my 70 pound pack like Forrest Gump.  Luckily it had stopped at a nearby traffic light.  So i was able to catch it.  Only 6 reals to the airport, much cheaper than the taxi at 60 reals.

Well, that concludes my South America trip, thanks for reading.  I will now write about my European section of the great trip of 2007.

ciao

It must be Rio's signature wave goddbye :) my last day in Rio was spoilt by terrible winds and what seemed like rain clouds...

Found alternative ways to enjoy my finals hours...
