Woke up late after a night of hard drinking and went to Mylopotas Beach. This is where pretty much everyone on the island hangs out during the day. At the very end of the beach, the last stop on the bus, is Far Out Pool and Bar. This is where you want to be. There is a large pool, several bars, a mini-mart, cafeteria style restaurant, and billiards tables.
Across the street from the bar is the beach. This is the most difficult decision on Ios, pool or beach. Servers come out to the beach and will bring your drinks to you, nice! For a couple of hours in the afternoon, the bar has 2 for 1 drink specials, yummy. In early June, the sun beds are free, but around the 3rd week of June they start to charge 1 euro for a bed.
Tonight we started at Blue Note again, then headed to Slammer Bar. Slammer Bar features the hammer slammer shot, this is where you wear a moped helmet and take a shot of tequila with 7-up, and then the bartender whacks you in the head with a hammer, sometimes with a fire hydrant. Either way, its going to wake you up. Was pretty drunk and somehow got a job here. I vaguely remembering telling the manager that i could keep this bar busy, so he told me to start work tomorrow night hollaring at girls, sweet.
After Slammer Bar, we went to Voodoo for some reason, not much going on at Voodoo, then back to Blue Note, then over to Flames. Flames is a pretty cool bar, it is just super tiny, so it always appears very crowded. Also the floor whores, these are girls that are hired to pretend they are having a good time with guy patrons and get them to buy more drinks, are very aggressive. Patrick and Nate were dancing with a couple of floor whores, so i went home. Apparently, one of the girls liked Patrick and he ended up going home with her, that takes talent.
