The family i stayed with in Bogota
I went to colombia in january and stayed there for a month.. Well i can tell you this, i had a month full of emotions, highlights, love, fun and many many more.. It started with a trip in bogota and what a lovely city it is.. I visited the royal palace and lots of the malls.. I've also been on Montseratte and the view is beautifull! A big plus of this city are the golden streets were you can buy a bracelet or ring for almost free! But it is also nice to see how they are dealing the emeralds on the streets.. After a few days in Bogota we went on the bus to Libano, Tolima. This was just heaven after the big city live.. I really loved the people and the small streets/shops/taxi's and everything actually! It was so peacefull and in the evening it started rocking.
At the Palace in Bogota
. If you ever get there make sure you play a typical game called "Tejo". You play it by throwing a stone in clay but it is fun with lots of Beer and Aquardiente! And also go to the Nevado close by to make sure you get en even better view then in the city itself. I went up to 5000m but that was my top! And that for someone who is afraid of hights! Also nice to visit is Lerida. This is a small town that knows how to party! But take you sunblock with you cause it is hot, very hot! They even have real cowboys in Lerida! If you take all this experiences and more it is a place which you will never forget! Please take the guts to go to Colombia and give it a honest change! Cause after you met your first real Colombian youre in love with the country!
Riding the bus in Bogota
Hello everyone.. Even though i had the best time of my live in Colombia something bad happend to me and i want you all to know that it certainly is possible to happen to you as well.. I went with the bus the first night and we became in an armed robbery.. With a gun and a knife the tortured my friend and his family for money and mobile phones.. I was lucky enough to be wearing dark clothing and that safed my life.. But please do not go with the bus during the evening.. I know it is cheap but just take a taxi and they will bring you home safely.. I had a terrible first evening and lots of stuff got stolen from my friends and i don't wish anyone the same on there holiday.. Please take your taxi and you will be fine.. And just between me and you.. Taxi's are cheap as well in Bogota,Colombia.. Safe travels.. :)
