New Bridge

After we have been told the campsite we were going to stay in Grazalema gonna close in another two days time for their holidays we were kind of lost where to stay till we heading to our next campsite. Then we came to Ronda the next  town we thought we could find a campsite.Yes we were very lucky the first campsite we came across  in Ronda happend to be the one of a beautifull campsite in Ronda. We stayed 3 nights In Camping EL Sur visiting town of Ronda,Grazalema,Zahara and Los Alcornocales Natural Park.

One of the oldest town in Spain, Ronda origins in the prehistoric period.Cave of the Pileta,Andalucian rural art ect still show the historical values. We still can see number of remains from Roman period specially in the Roman town of Acinipo. However the most visible cultural heritage of Ronda and its surrounding area is Arab.

After the conquest of the town by the Catholic kings in 1485 there was a new cultural and structural reorganization occured. In 18 th century the new bridge and the bull ring were built.

Today Ronda is very famous for bullfighting which is taking place in Plaza de Toros. It was the first purpose built space for fighting bulls in the world in 1785.We have visited plaza de Toros.Unfortunatly we didn't see any bullfighting because its famous corrida goyesca takes place at the  begining of September each year.

Beautifull Campsite in Ronda
If you are looking somewhere to explore Ronda and surrounding National Parks will highly recomand this beautifull campsite.
Its only 1Km from Ronda old town and few Kms to the new town.
Best way to explore the old town do a walk from the campsite. Also short drive from the campsite you can visit Grazalema National Park,Alcornocales National Park,Zahara de la Sierra.
Campsite offers different activities such as Hiking,Mountain Biking,Rafting,4x4 jeep tours,Horse Riding,Canyoning and free baloon rides. You have to cantact them about these activities when you do your bookings.
If you are into camping this campsite is one of the best campsite I can recomand to any body. They have 124 good size pitches with good shades.
If you are not into camping you also can stay in bungalows which is a bit expensive but its very comfortable.
The Restaurante El Sur serves traditional and homemade very tasty food that you will not regrate.
