On this day we entered the museum much as previous times. At the door we were greeted enthusiastically by two older gentleman. What I hadn't realized until about 30 minutes later was that the two who greeted us at the door were exactly the same two men who masterminded and self-funded the discovery, the excavation, and the preservation of this treasured collection! Having Jerry's undivided attention as he escorted me around to the various displays cases, I received the personal tour, heard the stories, and asked every single question of him that popped into my mind about his motivation, thought process, feelings during the discovery, and cost of this never-ending project! It just doesn't get any better than hearing it right from the source!
