Vaduz castle

We woke up early, we planned this day to add a new country to our travel list. From our campsite it was about 60km to Vaduz, the capital of Liechtenstein. We had to stay on the local roads because we didn't had a autobahn ticket, but the local road leads us parallel on the highway to Vaduz. The only problem was that the road was very busy. We entered the traffic jam in Bregenz and it was busy till the border of Liechtenstein. Our plan was to arrive at about 10 o'clock but we arrived at 12 o'clock.

Finally in Vaduz we had to find a parking. That was no problem, the only problem was that we forgot to check the currency, and for the parking ticket we needed small money in Swiss francs. But here you can park the car for one hour free and after that you had to pay. We decided to  find out first what Vaduz had to offer and than change money. We went to the tourist office for a map and we thought we can visit the castle. But the castle is private property of the prince of Liechtenstein, so no visit was possible. We walked up and down in the center of Vaduz, and found out that staying longer was not necessary. We took the car and drove into the country, visit the castle from the outside, went to the mountains and back home to the campsite.

Liechtenstein was fun to visit, the country have a lot to offer, skiing, hiking, cycling and beautiful nature, so if you are in the neighborhood think about it.
