Our last day in Toronto.....you have to make the most of your time and did we ever. We got up early and walked down to Starbucks. We both got a coffee and oatmeal for breakfast. We got there before the rush and it's Saturday morning mind you. Lots of people out running, walking and riding bicycles. We had time to eat and wake up. It was a beautiful morning not to hot and not to cold. BEAUTIFUL!! We wanted to go up in the CN Tower again because of all my infinate wisdom and planning we forgot to go up to the Skypod!! At 147 stories up it's the tallest observation point on the planet until Dubai. The elevators to the Observation Deck take about a minute to reach the 114 story level. That's already 11 stories taller that the Willis Tower Skydeck in Chicago.
Toronto-Pearson International Airport is easy to get to. The directions for returning your car are easy to follow. No need to hop on a shuttle bus to take you from the Car Rental to the Airport. You just walk across the street to the terminal. Security checks went very well. My black laptop backpack got checked again, this time with the swabs. Overall the airport was very well layed out!!
I have to say one thing about the Canadians...they are very proud of their country. You can see the canadian flag flying everywhere!!!! Toronto is a very clean city with friendly people. I would visit here again.
The hotel is located on the harbourfront. It's a nice location and not a far walk to the Rogers Centre or CN Tower. Parking at the hotel garage is $40 a day for valet or $20 a day for a block and a half away lot. And that was the closest one. Not to bad, but I glad it was not raining. Checkiing in was okay. The desk clerk got a little attitude because I refused a $30 a day upgrade for a lake view room. Our baggage was taken up to our room with no problem, the bellman was very nice. Our room was very nice, it had a large plasma TV..sweet. The bathroom was clean and well lite. We were on the 20th floor and had a nice view of the water and CN Tower. The beds were extremly comfortable...nice after a long day on the town. They had a nice heated swimming pool and gym. I used the gym every morning. It had free weights, eliptical machine, and treadmills. Our last day there I had went to get the car and pull it in so we could load up our luggage. I had parked the car and told the doorman that I would be right back with the luggage. He had a little attitude also...why? I donot know. We had already had the luggage packed up and ready to go. We went up and got it and right back down, checked out which only took a second and right back to the car. Maybe because we did not pay for valet parking..who knows???
Overall the hotel was nice, would I stay there again...no.
