And miles to go before I sleep...*

I had two weeks off of work. Trinity and I spent it criss-crossing the East Coast and the Midwest. We took six flights, two trains, a long distance bus, lots of ordinary buses and subways, and of course our feet. More importantly, we had incredible luck, and got to spend time with some of our favorite people!

And miles to go before I sleep...*

I have this terrible problem I suffer from in the summertime. Even though I work second shift in the summer months and never, ever wake up early on the days I have to work, it never fails. On my first day off each week, even though I've most likely stayed up until at least 3, probably closer to 4 in the morning, I am wide awake at 7:30 am. This day is no different. It is the first day of my second two week vacation of the summer, and this time, it is only 6:45. I figure it is just as well, since I want to wake up early the next day to fly somewhere (but where?). So, rather than delude myself and waste time trying to fall back to sleep, I grab a can of Red Bull and sit down in front of my living room window. It is Monday morning! I am enjoying the clear blue skies and perfect temperature, watching everyone drive past me on their way to work, and thinking about how much it sucks to be them. It is diabolical, perhaps, but oh, I appreciate my vacation so much more...
