I cannot believe that this exists. Actually, yes I can believe it. Seeing how I've had people ask me to put put them on moving *airplanes*. :::facepalm:::
We left two hours early, stopped at Walgreens to stock up on Red Bull and snacks, and arrived at South Station 90 minutes before our train was leaving. The reason for this is that I missed a bus there once in 2006 and I will never do that again, ever. It was more than enough time. We ate breakfast at Au Bon Pain, and sat for awhile watching the very confused guy working there. I swear every person who placed an order had to remind him to make it. It was pretty entertaining. After that I stood on the platform for twenty minutes because there was an ad for Blue Man Group that just said "BALD" on one whole section. I was trying to get a picture of a bald man walking past it, but every time one walked by he was in a group with others. That ruined my joke.
Departure board at South Station
That was the only ad at South Station that was not for Vermont. South Station has so many Vermont travel ads that I was starting to think I was actually in Vermont. I did like the ads, though. They feature my favorite celebrities, ie those stick people in signs that tell me not to do stuff, except they weren't even causing trouble. They were doing nice things like camping and hiking. Some were even holding hands! It is clear to me that if I were a stick person, I would like to live in Vermont, with all the other hippie stick people. I also wondered what it would be like to work at a train station as opposed to an airport. Where if you leave someone behind, they know it's their own damn fault. It must be nice!
