I have had a few people ask about what is happening with my move overseas to teach English.

Tap, tap, tap, tap, tap

That tapping you hear is the sound of my foot on the ground. I WANT TO GO!!!!

Yesterday when I cam home there was a letter waiting for me, but it was not the letter I was hoping for. It was actually a letter I was hoping I would not get. A speeding fine. It happened when I was just south of Ballina, I was driving through this little country town and as I left the town I wasn't paying attention to the speed signs, but I was back out in open country so I thought I must have passed a sign for the higher speed, so I started to speed up, then ****FFLASH**** I was blinded by the light of a speed camera. Bugger! Then 20 meters down the road was a speed sign for the lower speed. Bugger, bugger, bugger! Luckily for me I had only sped up a little and wasn't going the full higher speed otherwise the fine would have been a lot higher and I would have lost more than one point off my licence. (If you lose too many points you lose your licence - this was the very first point I have ever lost on my licence - bugger!)

So here I am back at dad's tapping my foot. When dad asked me what I was going to do today and I told him I was going to check out surfing lessons, he got all snooty and said I should be selling my car. Yes dad... I don't want to lose my independence. Dad said I could use his, but... well, I know my dad. I was telling Renee (who knows my dad very well) that dad said I could use his car and she said, "But would you get to use it?". Exactly! That's why I don't want to sell my car until I have to. Dad lives too far from the beach to walk, and no, I have never heard of public transport. :) (I don't want to have to rely on it)

Oh, I have been dreaming about Brazil again. Yay, that's more like it, no more sad dreams.

Well, I'm off to the beach; it's a hard life, but someone's got to do it.

Tap, tap, tap, tap...

Sylvia, I actually have a guy that will buy my car, he gave me a price when I first got here and said to just come back when I was ready. I think dad is just worried he will be lumbered with it when I go. Fear not father dear...

Richard I know what you mean, each time the thought pops into my mind "What else?" I push it out and say "It doesn't matter, I'm going anyway - just as soon as I get the letter." Tap, tap, tap...

Bev, Have fun on your sectret trail, I'll be comeing along next year some time. :)

Yes it's awfull to get a speeding fine, and especially when you lost the attention for one minute and wait for a important letter.Last week i've got my first parking fine after 20 years. It was also difficult to see where the sign was.It was like the law of Murphey. When something goes wrong....everything goes wrong.

How are your surfing lessons?

cheers richard.

this is going to sound like a joke but it isn't. Can you sell your car to someone but not give them possession of it and knock so much off the price week by week?.... (or day by day...) then you would kill two birds with one stone... no dependence on someone who will ....well, you know.... and you'll have sold the car. Brightest blessings for many peaceful moments tomorow.. xoxoxox sylvia
