Tap, tap, tap, tap, tap
That tapping you hear is the sound of my foot on the ground. I WANT TO GO!!!!
Yesterday when I cam home there was a letter waiting for me, but it was not the letter I was hoping for. It was actually a letter I was hoping I would not get. A speeding fine. It happened when I was just south of Ballina, I was driving through this little country town and as I left the town I wasn't paying attention to the speed signs, but I was back out in open country so I thought I must have passed a sign for the higher speed, so I started to speed up, then ****FFLASH**** I was blinded by the light of a speed camera. Bugger! Then 20 meters down the road was a speed sign for the lower speed. Bugger, bugger, bugger! Luckily for me I had only sped up a little and wasn't going the full higher speed otherwise the fine would have been a lot higher and I would have lost more than one point off my licence. (If you lose too many points you lose your licence - this was the very first point I have ever lost on my licence - bugger!)
So here I am back at dad's tapping my foot. When dad asked me what I was going to do today and I told him I was going to check out surfing lessons, he got all snooty and said I should be selling my car. Yes dad... I don't want to lose my independence. Dad said I could use his, but... well, I know my dad. I was telling Renee (who knows my dad very well) that dad said I could use his car and she said, "But would you get to use it?". Exactly! That's why I don't want to sell my car until I have to. Dad lives too far from the beach to walk, and no, I have never heard of public transport. :) (I don't want to have to rely on it)
Oh, I have been dreaming about Brazil again. Yay, that's more like it, no more sad dreams.
Well, I'm off to the beach; it's a hard life, but someone's got to do it.
Tap, tap, tap, tap...
