I applied for 90 days multi-entry visa to China but Chinesse officials strictly said "NO!" so I got only a single-entry visa...The reason I'm mentioning it is that if I had multi-entry visa I would have travelled with backpackers I met in Kashgar all the way from Kashgar to Gilget in northern Pakistan and back through a so-called Karakoram Highway. But unfortunatelly for me I could only enjoy a section which is still located in China and goes from Kashgar to Karakul Lake.  As usual, I teamed up with fellow travellers being a Swiss, a Kiwi and an American. The journey took 5 hours one way (4h on the way back) and we spent about 3 hours by walking around the lake. A scenery along the road was fantastic and the lake offered an impressive mirroring of the mountains in the background...Ahh, the entry fee to the lake is 50y but our driver told us was really expensive and showed us a way how to sneak inside without paying...:-)...Actually, while we were sitting at the lake an hour or so later two guys came to us on a motorbike...and I already feared they were from security... when one of them shouted "Bazaar!" and started offering various stones, gems etc. :-)
