Siem Reap

We left Battambang this morning and took an 8 hour river boat ride to Siem Reap. We were a little worried when they kept packing people on the boat before we left but we arrived without incident. The river looked very polluted with tons of garbadge and sewer pipes (see pictures) The locals were still bathing and fishing in it though.
When we arrived we hastily settled for a $12 room, however, it was a tad musty so we went out and lined up a room Hef would be proud of for $18 for the rest of our time here.
Siem Reap is busy place with lots of Angkor tourists. We are buying a 3 day passes for the ruins so we will be busy ooohing and aaawing for the next few days. We hope to upload lots of pictures in the next few days.
