As the sun came up I was up and ready for the day to begin, but everyone else was still sleeping, so I took the opportunity to take a quick walk along the beach and get a few pictures. The sunrise was beautiful, and with the pools empty of people, it gave me good pictures for the blog and review.
I returned to our room and started to wake up the family. We decided to eat at the hotels breakfast bar, which is usually ok at most hotels. But, this had to be one of the worst I have ever been to! For a great resort hotel you would think the breakfast would be spectacular, but it wasn't even close to being ok!! The service was great, but the food quality and choices were substandard! Well after a disappointing breakfast, Courtnie, Mike and I headed to the hotel park entrance and got in line for the 9:00am opening.
Since this coaster is at the very back of the park, it took a while to get there, and of course there was a line already forming to ride it, but it was well worth the wait!! I so wanted to ride it again, but there were still many more coaster here I wanted to get on. During our first half of the day in the park, we also rode the Iron Dragon, Cedar Creek Mine Ride, and the Snake River Falls - twice. We also meet up with two of Courtnie's friends from Columbus, Ohio who came up to see her and enjoy the park for the day.
An hour or so later, the rain stopped, so I headed back to the park. Mike decided to stay at the hotel with Lena, so I was on my own. When I first got back in to the park, I called Courtnie and they were getting ready to watch an ice show. I decided that wasn't for me, so I told them I would meet them after the show and I headed back to the Top Thrill Dragster.
It was now dark out, and one section of the park has a lot of trees, so at night, that section is decorated with many colorful lights. They call it STARLIGHT experience and it includes music as you stroll under the canopy of lights. It's very pretty and made for a great end to our visit of Cedar Point. There were other roller coaster and rides I would have liked to get on, but I rode the major ones I came there for! Millennium Force and Top Thrill Dragster were by far the two I liked the most! Can't wait to come back and get on these again!
