Sliema

Sliema (or Tas-Sliema) is a town located on the northeast coast of Malta. It is a centre for shopping, restaurants and café life.

Sliema, which means 'peace, comfort', was once a quiet fishing village.

Around the 1850s Sliema became a summer resort for the well-to-do and before long the resort grew into a town.
