Sailing the Whitsundays, and enjoying Airlie Beach

Lagoon at Airlie

Definitely one of the highlights of the trip, but a bit harsh on the bank account. Joined a 2 night sailing/dive trip through the famous Whitsunday Islands, and had a blast. Sleeping on the boat was a bit interesting, as the beds were more than a bit cozy, but the food was great, and the people were awesome. With 25 travellers and 4 crew, everyone got along swimmingly.

Did my first Scuba Dive on the trip, which was everything it is talked up to be. Absolutely incredible feeling, floating around 12 metres looking up at an endless wall of coral and various marine life. Turtles, sting rays, and a baby reef shark were some of the cooler sights. Another group saw a Manta Ray which was about 3 metres wide!

Spent the following days relaxing in Airlie Beach, gateway to the Whitsundays, and quite the little party town.
