A little wat at a guesthouse
That morning we met Thomas again while eating breakfast in the street of our hotel. We invited him to join us and had a lovely morning talking with him. He was planning to buy some clothes in the shopping area of Siam (not at our tailor friends) and we went with him. He knew a place where the longtail boats on the canals departed and took us with him (we learned a lot about BKK thanks to him!). Before reaching the longtaill boats, we bought some awfull Diesels for my poor feet. I couldn't walk anymore on my old shoes due to blisters and little wounds. Ron tried to make me buy crocs, but hey! I do have some principles!
At the shopping area in Siam we said goodbye and went our own way. In the MKB (shopping mall) we had a lovely lunch at the food corner, some Greek stuff! (Yeah, that's strange being in Thailand and eating Greek, I know).
We met Thomas again and he advised us to visit Pantip plaza, a big shopping tower filled with electronic shops, a true heaven to Ron. We walked for hours from one shop to another. He was enjoying himself gazing at GPS systems, computers, laptops and other things. At one moment I decided that enough is enough and I dragged him out of Pantip plaza! We went with the skytrain to Saphan Taksin, our favourite place under the bridge and drunk some beers. It was dark allready when we decided to take the expressboat back to our hotel. Unfortunatelly there were no more boats sailing at that time. I could walk, my Diesels were fantastic, so we started walking. But again, enough is enough....! At the moment that I couldn't put one foot before the other I demanded that we take a taxi or a tuk-tuk (anything on wheels). It turned out to be a tuk-tuk that drove us back to Ko San Road. Hungry we went for the BurgerKing, drank our beer at Bar/restaurant 'Oh! Hungry!' and went to our hotel for a deep deep sleep.
