We met everyone at Vondel Park in Amsterdam. We arrived a little early to get things set up for grilling and a sign posted. Within a short time people started showing up. We were situated near a nice pond and had a rocky area perfect for seating. There was even a large tree so that we had shade as it was a hot day.

The cheap throw away grills .....were well, cheap. The charcol didn't want to burn. It took Rob considerable time and effort but finally the coals were hot. We had many choices of meat to grill and thankfully we were able to grill it.

There was quite a turnout and everyone brought a generous amount of food. We had so much food. The afternoon was filled with great conversation and nice weather.

It was so nice to see some of the people we had met at the Queen's day meet-up and to meet some new TB friends, also.

We left around 17:00 as we had plans for the evening. After we left.......there was quite a downpour and eveyone huddled under the bridge. Also, the leftover food made for quite a buffet for the homeless people who were waiting for the end of our day.

In all, it was quite a nice day and we had a great time in the park.
