To say the least, this was an absolutely thrilling experience. See my review of Hyannis Whale Watcher Cruises for my in depth description of my experience. In a nutshell, I had a wonderful time. The boat ride out into the ocean was great. There are interior seating areas as well as exterior seating areas and an upper deck. There is also a snack bar that serves various goodies, drinks and alcoholic beverages. When we arrived at the area where the whales are known to frequent, we started seeing them right away! There were so many sightings including Humpback and Fin Whales. To see such raw nature up close is just amazing. These huge mammals would come up by the boat and blow water, roll and dive. They look almost ancient with their barnacle covered chins. I don't know why I hadn't done a whale watch sooner, so I say to you, go on a whale watch the next time the opportunity arises. :)
