Parikia & Naoussa, Paros
My favourite island of the entire trip! It had the food, wine, the locals and minimum tourist, beautiful beaches with the warmest water, cute night cafes with no food sellers, and the most serene and peaceful vibe! Our little pension was also incredible, the family owned Pension Sofia with it's beautiful breakfasts in their gorgeous green garden! The place was also just a 2 minute walk to the Livadia beach, you could see the beach as you stepped off the property!
In Paros we were able to see a lot of the authentic Greece that we were not finding anywhere else - we had the local wine and saw the traditional folk dance!
Naoussa was a town on the other end of the island from Parikia where the main harbour was and our beautiful pension, but this town was definetly more modern and touristy. It had the beautiful narrow white streets of Sanotrini with very cute cafes that were always found at the end of a street right on the coast by the water..it sort of reminded me of Venice's maze of street and getting lost..only to find an adorable cafe with furniture in the brightest pastel colour! :)
I will definetly be coming back to this island!
It was a very comfortable stay with a beautiful view of their green garden. The beach is only about 2 minutes away and can be seen from the place. It's also very close to the town centre, bus stop, supermarket and bakery.
Manolis will personally pick you up from the ferry upon arrival too! The internet is also free.
Very enjoyable and relaxing stay.
