Anyway I wanted to tell you about my best travel experience so far. In 2003 I accompanied my then still girlfriend back home to Singapore. Besides meeting my future in-laws it was also a great holiday of course. At the end of what was then my first holiday in Singapore I wanted to go out with a “bang” so to say. We took a search on the Net to find out what we still could find for the last remaining days we had together. We came across this place which was located on the Indonesian island of Bintan, not that far from Singapore. First thought was to book a hotel room, but then our attention turned to the photos showing a villa with private swimming pool. Even though it was by then already late evening we deiced to take our chances and quickly phoned the hotel to check for availability. Luckily we were able to reach them and get a conformation even. Ok that’s settled then, now we needed to means to get there still. So the next day we booked two seats on the ferry sailing to Bintan. And off we went a couple of days later.

Luxury at it's best
First, and sadly enough still the only time, we stayed in Indra Maya Villas was in 2003. We really would like to go back again one time cause our first experience with it has been an unforgettable memory. While we were out for dinner at the restaurant the staff prepared the villa for the night, turned on the outside lighting folded the bed cover and placed some flowers on the pillows, things like that. A nice attention of course. We especially enjoyed the freedom of our own secluded swimming pool and the view from the villa overlooking the sea was spectacular.
The place let’s itself be best described as Luxurious villa’s with private swimming pool. Nicely decorated interior in Indonesian style. Outdoor sunken bathtub and separate indoor shower. Secured area and excellent service. Your own golf kart to move around the resort. Can also make use of all the main hotel facilities.
From Singapore it’s about 45min. sailing time to Bintan, that’s how we came to Bintan by ferry from Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal in Singapore.
