I have always enjoyed driving from Toulouse towards the Pyrenees. I have especially felt something inside every time I see the mountains for the first time from the distance. I am sure that it comes from the fact that I am brought up and spent most of my life in a flat country like Denmark where the highest point not even reach 200 meters.
At Sinsat the mountains gets real, they are like huge walls surrounding the narrow road that you are following like everybody else that want to either visit this nice region of France or the once like me who have chosen this way in to Spain. I have always loved driving in mountains the higher the better. This way I will reach Pas de la Casa which is 2430 meters above sea level less than 45 minutes after I pass Sinsat. At this point it gets real; Spain is on the other side.
I have stopped sometimes in one of these small villages on the way to Andorra but didn’t want to do it this time. I had planned to see if I could reach Cordoba this day and I knew that I would spend some time in Andorra to see if there were an electronic devise I could find a sudden need for.
