Flam was too crowded for my taste therefore we changed the camp ground again. Next stop was Aurland which is only a short trip away.

Klaus saw a photo of the "Stigastein" overview in a brochure and suggested it as a nice place to go next. I've been there already on a former trip and I said it's really worth to drive up there.

Certainly, I forgot about the way up there. Not really forgot rather blocked. It's a very narrow 1 lane road with lots of serpentines going 5 km up the mountain. There are no safety fences - just 15 cm high bricks - and the sheer is right beneath. To make it worse the road is in a bad condition. I never knew how long 5 km can be but finally I made it. Some of you might say that's not a big deal but don't forget I'm a lowland-girl driving a camper ;)

By mischance it started raining when we arrived the overview although the weather in the valley was great :( So, we took some photographs and drove back to Aurland where we found a nice camp ground.

Since it was the first warm day for a long time we decided to spend the rest of the afternoon at the camp ground enjoying the sun. We had some coffee and played cards.

In the evening we had a walk with Buddy down the village.
