Outch! my feet!
July 31, 2009
Yesterday was the metro-day, this time is the - foot-day. We walked and walked and walked. Untill we fell asleep;)
After small breakfast we went straight to Muzeum to drop off Radek for his reasearches at the archive. With Aneta i went to Jiriho z Podebrad station to see the Tv tower with tjose funny kids statues climbing the tower. There was also a weird church with huge transparent clock looking like a huge chair;). After Radio (Radek's nickname) was ready with the Muzeum we picked him up and went to Vysehrad - a hill with the fortress and the St. Peter and Poul church. The view from the fortress was awesome, and it looks like Praga has several hills with beautifull views over the city. It's amazing to look at the Old Town and Hradcany castle from different angles. It's for sure one of the most beautifull cities.
Then we got hungry and went downt to town again, hitting the first food place - this time it was vietnamese resto, but they had also czech food.
After beer and food we walked towards Nowe Mesto (new town) passing by the New City Hall and reaching finally Stare Mesto again (Old Town). Here we had some coffee and croisants, rested a bit after the long walk and headed to Josefov - the jewish district. Next stop the huge park on the other side of the Vltava river - Letenskie Sady, with the cute small building on the top: Hanavsky Pavillon and again a super B view over the Old Town - and again - a nice place and a different view. The Praguer are really very lucky to have such wonderfull places in the city center to rest from the traffic and hassle of the streets down.
In the evening we went to Stare mesto for pizza and beer again - the last dinner in Praga for us, coz tomorrow morning we are going to see other place.
