Terra-Cotta-Army of Emperor Qin Shi Huang

So we flew from Hangzhou to Xi’an. It was a comfortable trip, the luggage had been checked in when we arrived at the airport, so only had to pass the strict security and board the plane. From our Boing we saw the Yangtze River and several smaller rivers and flooded areas.
Our tour brought us to a smaller museum with a miniature terracotta army, 3000 soldiers about 40 cm high, and • I believe - a little younger than the most famous one. The next day we finally saw the famous terracotta army, personally I’ve been a little disappointed • the atmosphere wasn’t so great, you didn’t get closer than about 5 m. From the front, it was worth because of the VIP-lounge. In another hall of the exhibition they had two bronze carriages with four horses each only behind Plexiglas that was a nice change.
Still, it was fascinating seeing all those clay-soldiers with their individual faces.

In the evening we went to a small Pagoda, and spend some time on the City Wall and the City Centre.
Anyway, the time we spent in Xi’an (meaning western peace) was short. On the last night we went to the old city-wall, the next morning we left the city by train…
