Nothing Special
Well, let’s start with part two of my never ending China-story…
We have left Shanghai and travel to the island of Putuoshan… that means about 2,5 hours in a bus (without those traffic yams only 1) and another two hours in a speedboat…
On the island we did, what pilgrims didn’t do • hiking and walking. We visited several Buddhist monasteries • a very interesting religion, very pragmatic… in the evening we had wonderful dinners with fresh fish a (foot-) massage and karaoke…
The problem was the next morning • waking up at two thirty (in numbers: 2.30 am) we wanted to attend a Buddhist service, it was so interesting and such a beautiful morning (especially because the Taifun (Hurricane) had changed it’s direction.
After two days and lot’s of Buddhism it was time to leave for Shaoxing •
Never heard of it, well it’s a kind of small city, only 5 million inhabitants. However, it isn’t a very exciting place, so we just stayed a night and took the train to Hangzhou…

I know what you mean aboiut a small city of 5 million in China. I was traveling between Wuhan and the Three Gorges Dam and out-of-nowhere popped "villages" of 2-3 million. Only in China and India :)
