Arrival in China

Well, afterwards my flight to Shanghai has been scary...
It was actually a pretty boring flight, very few turbulences... One could see some lightnings in the distance since it was night...
I had a great view on Moscow at night, and later in the early hours of the local morning a wonderful dawn over Sibiria...
Interesting was the arrival in Shanghai. We got to see it from above.
Later we got the news, that there was an terror attack on two planes the same night we passed Russia, everyone was kind of shocked...
That is, at least, in my opinion the word that describes the city best • FAST!
I’ve never seen such a place in the world, bright colourful, fast-living.
I’ve never seen so many Skyscrapers in my entire life, neither in Chicago nor New York, nor have I seen so many building sides • for new towers that reach the 500ft. mark easily. In fact here they have one of the highest buildings in the world Jin Mao Tower is in fact the fourth highest building after Taipeh, Kuala Lumpur and Chicago.
My stay in that city had been pretty short, unfortunately. We walked down the “Bund” the road along the river, went to the 88th floor of said Jin Mao Tower, and experienced the Transrapid, by riding the 30 km to Pudong International Airport within 8 minutes, reaching a top speed of 431 km/h.
It can also be a pretty expensive place. One night we had a drink on the roof of the Peace Hotel and I paid 50 (about €5) for one tine of Ginger Ale.
…in comparison, the whole dinner before that (9 people having each a huge bole of fried rice with vegetables, Beer, Coke and Sprite) cost about 156 (€ 15,60) together.
