Goodbye Bangkok, Welcome back to Manila

Manila Travel Blog | Travelogue | Travel Journal

At age 26, it was my second trip outside my beautiful country. It was also memorable for the fact that I travelled with just my friend and spent my hard-earned money for it. It was still November of 2006 when we availed of the best Bangkok deal in one travel expo. My friend and I were so excited that we went to the airport four hours early for the boarding time.

Goodbye Bangkok, Welcome back to Manila

Our last day in Bangkok.

We woke up again early and ate our breakfast at 6:30 AM. We were told on our first day 10:00 AM was the pick-up time. Since there were three hours of waiting, I had decided to roam around first and take some photos. While we were roaming around the streets, we were able to buy Thai iced coffee in a plastic bag and some tasty barbeque. It was still early so there were a handful of opened stalls selling garments.

Few minutes before 10:00 AM, we headed back to our hotel. The van that will take us to the airport arrived on time. We also went to the nearby hotels to fetch fellow Filipino tourists who were going back to Manila as well.

By 12:30 PM, we were in the Suvarnabhumi Airport. Before we left Bangkok, we made sure to buy mango sticky rice and singha beer which we forgot to try while roaming around Bangkok for four days. The four-day stay in Bangkok was truly memorable for the two us. The trip made our feet sore but it was worth it. Lots of places to see. The food was great as well. Due to lack of time, we weren't able to visit some places like Ayutthaya but for sure that if time permits, we will visit them.

It was  time to board the plane. Well, goodbye Bangkok. Hope to see you again.
