Up, up, up again ...

Wendelstein Mountain

Winter had finally returned and we were able to have good times in the snow.

First thing we did was going to Wendelstein Mountain, which's a charming peak nearby. But since we had been a bit early and the cable car was still closed we officially opened our toboggan season in the meanwhile.

An hour later we reached the top of Wendelstein Mountain from where the view was gorgeous (even tough the slippery paths and snow drifts were much more tempting for my sister and me at this point).

Shortly before lunch we arrived at the pretty Stümpfling Alp by chair lift. It’s always quite entertaining to go by chair lifts especially if you’re making up the wildest stories about how to jump down just in case you’re stuck. ;)

After we had had a bite of lunch and strolled around a bit we spent a few more hours in Bayrischzell where the turbo slegde brought amazing fun.

Ach wie schoen. Ich bin in Bad Aibling aufgewachsen und der Wendelstein war unser "Hausberg" so zu sagen. Er sieht von da wo ich herkomme besonders schön aus. Schon mal etwas von der "schlafenden Jungfrau" gehört? Der Wendelstein ist der Kopf von dieser Formation. Herrlich schön.
