Work that had started on the permanent buildings was broken off in1942, and completely abandoned a year later.

The second phase of EUR's development occured after the war from 1951 to 1960. In 1955, Calza Bini developed a concept for transforming the exhibition complex into an urban district at the edge of an expanding Rome. This project was realized in subsequent years and concluded with the new building of important sport facilities for the 1960 Olympics.

The layout plan of EUR follows the basic principle of ancient city planning with a main axis avenue symmetrically surrounded by significant buildings. At the each end of main axis or cross axis, a permanent building was designed to emphasize, and terminate the axis, as was customary in Renaissance cities. Palazzo dei Ricevimenti dei Congressi, Palazzo della Civilta del Lavoro, and SS. Pietro e Paolo are the three important buildings for the main axis and cross axis, and were built during the same period.

In these days Rome airport authorities are debating about the possibilities to build or not a new airport in Rome.
At the moment Rome has three airports: Fiumicino, for the international flights, Ciampino, for the low cost companies, and the City airport ( aeroporto dell' Urbe ), normally used as miltary airport as well as training center for the italian pilots and  the helicopters of Rome.
In these months the passengers traffic at Ciampino airport increased and the city needs also to move part of the low cost air traffic from Ciampino to Fiumicino.
Three are the projects for the future of the Rome airports:

1- Ciampino airport is overloaded;
2-Fiumicino airport can be extended with a new terminal C, with the possibility to host more low cost european aircrafts.
3-The City airport ( aeroporto dell'Urbe ) located in the north of Rome will be transformed into a business traveler airport.

Originally the city airport was inhaugurated in 1928 and until World War II it was the major airport of the civil aviation in Italy. Until it was bombed in 1943 it had several buildings used for the airport management and a pilots training school. The city airport has a great potential but it needs infrastructures and investments of around 10 milion USD. This airport will be better connected to the city of Rome with a new road that will reach in 15 minutes the vatican city.
The italian goverment is also thinking to move the traffic of the state aircrafts to the city airport.
On the discussion table organized by the local government of Rome there is the deal of how low cost company can pay less if they land at Fiumicino airport and also the study of the pollution impact based on the european environment paramethers.

Fino a pochi mesi fa si raggiungevano i primi posti nei motori di ricerca in modo abbastanza facile, senza contare le migliaia di doorway page, spesso con contenuti davvero inconsistenti.

Oggi non basta ottimizzare le pagine del sito facendo mini-siti di brand o specifici per temi, perche' bisogna lavorare al suo contenuto.

La soluzione proposta dal LSI è esclusivamente statistica.

Il term weighting nasce dalla formalizzazione di due considerazioni facilmente comprensibili.

Le variabili danno il 'peso' delle parole all'interno del documento e quindi, in fase di ricerca, daranno al documento stesso una importanza relativa e permetteranno di stabilire un ranking 'verticale', ovverosia non fondato solo sulla presenza, ma anche sul loro peso.

La presenza della chiave nella URL del dominio, infatti, è sempre stata considerata importante ai fini del buon posizionamento del sito per la ricerca di quella frase. La cosa può incidere diversamente in considerazione del motore e del periodo (gli algoritmi, come s'è detto precedentemente, possono cambiare nel tempo), però, se fattibile, si consiglia di valutarne la possibilità, se questa non risulta eccessivamente forzata, in relazione ai dettami della Comunicazione.

Il motore di ricerca è un software; ciò significa che, a differenza di un uomo, non ha capacità di discernimento basata sull'intelligenza. Per i motori meno sofisticati (Google non è tra questi), albergoroma e albergo-roma, sono due cose diverse. Nella prima, la parola albergo non è riconoscibile, nella seconda sì. È importante tenerlo presente nella scelta del nome di dominio.Nessun problema per Google, invece, che è capace di individuare le parole all'interno di espressioni senza separatori.
