Upscale casual restaurant
Moxie's is an upscale casual restaurant chain with a presence all over Canada. I ate at the one in Calgary, just off of the Trans-Canada highway. They try to differentiate themselves by offering superior food and exceptional service in a stylish atmosphere. In my opinion, they have done it successfully.
They have a large and varied selection of appetizers. From the ordinary chicken wings and calamari to the creative avocado spring rolls and ahi tuna crisps, there will be something for everyone. I was there for lunch, so I didn't have any appetizers. Their salads are also very tempting: sesame thai chicken salad, mayan chicken salad, tandoori wild salmon salad or just a ceasar salad. Plenty to choose from.
Moxie's has many different types of burgers and sandwiches. They have pasta., rice and noodle selections too. Their dinner entrees looked tempting. Many different types of steaks and chicken dishes. Not too many fish entrees, just a couple of salmon dishes and lemon-pepper halibut. It's mainly a meat based menu.
For lunch I had a beef dip sandwich with a salad. Not too big but not too small. Just right!! Ally (travbuddy - allyflower) had a grilled asparagus & goat cheese pizza. We both enjoyed our lunch.
