leaving Canoa
My first fishing trip was starting. When we were going into the sea it was windy and I got wet. Suddenly a flashback from what happened while we were whale watching, hahaha. But back that time, boat was bigger and we had lifevests, but not now, OMG! Lisa, William & Shawn had been fishing before, so I was the only one with "0" experience, hahaha. But I also was the only one who can talk fluently with the captain ;)

Anyway, after we passed the waves everything was calm and smooth. Sun was shinning and Lisa put some music, yeah! Time to enjoy the sea. We kept on sailing until Stalin found a good spot to fish. They gave us 2 fishing roads. Hopefully we´d have luck and catch some fishes. But in order to be sure he threw a net, great idea! Hahaha. We were just chilling out there and Lisa decided to pour some vodka on the rocks.
:)
Mmm, I´d pass this time, hehehe.

William jumped off the boat to swim for a bit. It was perfect until he decided to come back into the boat. He was heavy and affected the balance of the boat. Watch out! hahaha. It was almost 3 and no luck with the roads, so Stalin decided to check the net. We might have better luck with this. And so we did, yay! He and the other guy started to pull the net and fishes started to show up, yay!!! We got so excited when we saw the 1st one and then couldn't believe they kept on coming and coming, yay! We even got 3 big sea basses, yummy. In total, we got 8 fishes, good job!

Stalin asked me if we'd like them to throw the net again. "Oh no! We are supposed to go to a secret beach to cook the fishes and then go back to Canoa.
this looks so castaway
" Ok, he said and we went to Puerto Pasado a hidden-secret beach nearby. "This case, we have to be fast to be back on time before it gets dark." The guys threw the net another time and left it there hopping they'd catch something while we were at the beach.

When we arrived to the beach, I felt as if I were arriving to a desert island, hahaha. There was a fallen tree, that made it looked like a castaway island, hahaha. Well, we had fishes, now it was time to cook them, but in order to do it, somebody should clean them, mmm. Well, don't look at me, hahaha. Stalin would take care of that. Lisa was taking pics, Shawn and William were helping the other boy with the boat and me... well, the city girl saw a house and wanted to go there and ask for the bathroom, hahaha.
eating! hahaha
Might be in the middle of nowhere, but never loose the glamour ;)

Everyone was wondering where I went, hahaha. William found hilarious what I did, hahaha. By the time I was back, Lisa has already started chopping the garlic, onions and pepper Mau gave us. Stalin asked for a pan to the lady from that house and we were ready to start grilling the fish.

I like fish, but this was the first time I was having it like that. I mean, fished and grilled by ourselves. Furthermore, we didn't have forks or knives, so we just used our hands. Grilled fish never tasted better. Because we didn't have seasonings besides salt. I could feel the different flavors of the fishes. So good! I was thinking the best was the sea bass until I tried the "emelec" a local one. Definitely the best one!!! It was getting late and we still had food.
happy!
What to do? Eat faster! hahaha. Can't believe the 6 of us, ate 8 whole fishes, hahaha.

Ok, time to clean everything and then go back to the boat. It was 6 something and it wouldn't be a good idea sailing when it's dark since we didn't have any light in the boat, OMG! Just hurry up! I was thinking it wouldn't take us too long to go back, since this time we wouldn't fish, but we had to stop to pick up the net.

The net wasn't empty. The guys caught more fishes! Including a small hammer shark, awesome!!! They also had to try to fold the net, OMG! I was noticing it started to get darker, mmm. But I was wearing sunglasses, so maybe that was just my idea, wrong! I took off the sunglasses and saw it was really getting darker, oh no! Better wear the sunglasses again and try not to think about this, hehehe.
oh oh, it was getting dark, but what a nice sunset :)

The journey seemed to last longer and Stalin told us to hold strong, since he'd speed. Ok, these 2 guys were experts. I don't know how they did it, but we arrived safe and smooth to dark Canoa. It was already 7:30pm and the only thing we could see were some lights on the coast. I was thinking this whole thing was just a bit adventurous, but never thought it was dangerous until we went back to the hostel and Mau's wife exclaimed: "Finally!!! I was so worried for you!!!" So, were we really in danger? better not knowing it :P

Our original idea was leaving Canoa today, we even made the check out, but no way we'd go to another town in the middle of the night. Roads weren't that good in the area. Our ex rooms were available and Mau even gave us a discount, sweet!

There was no electricity in town and no water.
hanging out at the hostel
.. anyway we'd hang out with Mau and the rest of the people from the hostel waiting for the electricity. We were telling them our adventure, hahaha. We weren't hungry, but could have something that wasn't fish, hahaha. The Argentinean guy from the hostel baked some empanadas and we got them, hahaha. It was just a snack.

Shawn and me went upstairs just hoping we'd have water soon. We started to play cards and I used the laptop as far as we had power, hahaha. It has been a fun but also tiring day. Don't know how or when, but I fall asleep. Was exhausted...
