I arrived to the station at 6:10am, hehe. Everything was so close here, hehe. None of the offices were open yet. I was waiting for my bus, the buses there didn't go to Guayaquil. Then I saw a man running and waving. He asked me: "Guayaquil?". I said yes and he grabbed my big backpack and asked me to follow him.
Bus was coming from somewhere else. There were already people inside. It wasn't crowded and I found my seat. I had 2 seats for my own, yay! I took of my purse, my ipod and minigunther and was ready for the long drive. It was supposed to be a direct bus, or at least I was told so...
I was expecting 1 - 2 stops in the main cities, but no! Bus stopped every single little town. Of course this made the drive longer, but this wasn't the only thing. Twice we stopped because they were working on the roads and these stops lasted 30 - 40min. OMG!!! First time we were in the middle of nowhere. I looked through the window and could notice it was really cold outside. I had forgetting about the maintenance works, so I was afraid the bus wasn't working and we'd be stuck in a chilly town and there was no cellphone signal, oh no!!! Fortunately it was not like that.
It was around 11am, when I got a message from Shawn. Then he called me. I was in my way to Guayaquil and so was he. The small difference was that he was flying!!! At that time he was at the airport, enjoying the a/c and wi-fi, while I was in a non so comfortable bus, so thirsty - I wans't drinking everything afraid of the idea of going to the restrooms there - and he was just laughing about that. The lady next to me found it sort of funny how I was talking in English. So after hanging up, I started to talk to her.
She told me her stop was close, just 30min away and then I'd have to wait 1 hr to arrive to Guayaquil. Finally!!! We were chatting until she left. Then I turned on my iPod again and oh, oh! Battery was about dying. IPod was brave, and lasted as much as possible. It made me company most of the time, just left me 15min before arriving to the terminal.
Ok, I was back in the city. Now, I was just hopping Shawn was waiting for me at the terminal :P
