hey!!!!!
Mindo is well known because of the bird watching, but in order to do it the best way possible you have to go with someone who can guide you and it's better if you do early in the morning. Mmm, Jerry was interested in that, but we were leaving at noon, so we wouldn't have enough time to do it... Oh well! no big drama. The hotel was located in the middle of the forest and had great gardens. So instead to walk outside, we'd do a minitrekking inside, hahaha, also picture time!

I was checking my camera and the SD Card was full. This was the 2nd one, hahaha. Fortunately, Shawn gave me one before leaving Cotacachi. I was so excited, this one was a 8G card. This would last me forever, oh well, maybe not that long. So I was almost in shock when I put it in my camera and it said: "124".
another full SD card :)
What just 124 pictures available? Oh no!!! Something should be wrong with this SD Card. Take a deep breath and worry about that later... I had a copy of my 1st SD Card. It was a good thing that I took my external hard drive with me; other wise I should have burned lots of CD's, hehehe. There was a plan B.

Yes, the hotel was really nice. The gardens were awesome and the river crosses the property, sweet! Before having breakfast, we'd pack and leave all our stuff ready to go. It wasn't that difficult to pack this time, hehe. Ok, now it was time for breakfast, which was very good. Tasty blueberry juice, coffee and omelette. I asked the girl if they could prepare a veggie one. It wasn't part of the menu, but they did it anyway, nice!!!!

Ok, now it was time to go to the Mariposario (Butterflies farm).
hey! I attracted a butterfly :)
Fernando recommended me it a lot, and he was so right. It's awesome. The visit start with an explanation about the butterflies and then you go to the main room, where we could see different types of butterflies. All of them so colorful. At some point I felt something on my arm and was about moving it, when Jerry said: "Quiet!" It was a big butterfly, yay!!! We spent there a bit more than hour, just admirng these lovely creatures.

Walked back to the hotel and this time we wouldn't walk back to town, haha. Rodrigo called a truck for us. Thanks Rodrigo! He was very helpful. Our bus was leaving at 2 and it was still noon, so we had plenty of time. We might check internet and have lunch in town before leaving to Quito. That was the plan, but...

I was chatting with the driver and he asked me if we wouldn't like him to drive us to the informal bus stop. There were buses leaving every 30min and we could save some time, great! Then he got a phone call. He had to go to a small town nearby, in the way to Quito. So we agreed to pay him a bit more and he would drive us to Nanagalito, where we could catch a bus for US$1 and the drive would last just 30min. Awesome! We had a deal!
